Review
This DVD consists of the 37-minute talking head with clips title feature with Newman eloquently discussing Brit films from the 60s that never quite made it but represent the era. Included are The Bed Sitting Room, London in the Raw, Primitive London, All The Right Noises, Man of Violence, That Kind of Girl, Herostratus, The Big Switch, Privilege and Permissive and the genre range includes comedy, sex, mocumentary, educational, thrillers and art house. Three short films are also included; Carousella, The Spy's Wife and Tomorrow Night in London.
Alas, despite their social significance, C20th Flicks stocks none of the movies in this splendid BFI promo tape.
